Go to xls > Select File > Select CellBIM (it should be activated) > Select Update License > Select Deactivate and then add the new license key 

**You should be connected to the Internet 

Go to the File > Options > Add-ins > scroll in the main table and you will find it under the "Disabled Application Add-ins"  

Go to the "Manage" > Click on the Disabled Items > Go 

Find the CellBIM > Select it and the click on Enable button 

Ensure the Add-In is Installed Properly: 

 If the add-in is not listed in the available add-ins, it might not have been installed correctly. Reinstalling the add-in might resolve the issue.  

Check Ribbon Customization: 

Go to File > Options and select Customize Ribbon. 

Under the Main Tabs section, ensure that the CellBIM tab is checked. If it is unchecked, check it and click OK 

Check Excel Trust Center Settings:  

Go to File > Options and select Trust Center. 

Click on Trust Center Settings, and then choose Add-ins. 

Make sure that the settings allow the loading of add-ins and that there are no restrictions that might prevent CellBIM from appearing in the ribbon. 

Restart Excel: 

After checking the above settings, restart Excel to ensure any changes are applied and that the add-in tab appears in the ribbon.

when I want to assign a model element to a cell, with the right button, it does not create a link to the cell, but this label <bimctlink/>,

what am I doing wrong?

Is there a BIM Data Table field that exposes the Room information for a piece of equipment based on where it is placed?  This would typically show up in a schedule and is a parameter in the FamilyInstance property - see attached.

I am able to get the room schedule, but I would like the room / space data in my equipment schedule.

Appreciate any guidance.

Our IT dept installed CellBIM on my computer and we found that the 'ExcelBIM' menu only appears in Excel If we run it as administrator.
Since I personally do not have the access to run any software as admin I cannot use CellBIM.

Is there a solution to that?

Please open a Blank Excel Workbook and then go to

File > CellBIM > Update License > De-Activate as shown in the following screenshot.

Then you can easily Activate the same serial number to another machine.

Downloading the latest update for CellBim I got the following error. (see attached screenshot)

Could it be the naming of the file? The current version is 10.0.0.14 and the new one is 1.0.0.15 

Part of the error is saying "Cannot install a product when a newer version is installed"  should the new file be 10.0.0.15 ??

After several hours testing the plugin I have notice two little bugs:

1. When you select a column all of your linked elements (even outside that column) get selected in the viewer.
2. If you cut and paste an already linked cell to another empty cell, the link in the previous cell remains active and the "Delete Connection(s)" command does nothing.

Also, I know the following is not a bug but I don't want to add nother topic:

1. Is it possible to update the model after it was imported in CellBIM?
2. Is it possible to select model elements doing a query on their data? I am guessing it could be done with the "Design Tree" command, but don't know how.

In the other hand I would like to suggest you do more tutorials/documentation for newcommers, like most of us. So far I see a great potential on this plugin, specially for cost estimation; saddly the price is a bit high for some countries in Latin America :/ and that is one of the greatest problems of BIM developers when they enter on this markets. Nevertheless, good job so far! I am enjoying the learning of CellBIM :) would like to mention it in my BIM YouTube Channel.
